So letβs warm up with some elbow to knee crunches. lay down flat on your back starting with your hands behind your head, bend your knees and keep your feet on the floor. Start lifting your knee and bring your opposite elbow to your knee, and make sure you bring your head toward your knees by flexing your core muscles.

2022-09-02 14:14:40 +0000 UTC View PostGood morning letβs start with some strength training πͺπΌ to properly and effectively do a squat you need to make sure that you start by standing up with your feet about hip width apart. and make sure you have your shoulders back and your back is straight. Slowly send hips back and bend your knees to squat toward the floor, keeping the weight mainly on your heels and then slowly stand back up holding tension in your glutes. you should feel this mainly in your quads hamstrings and glutes if you feel too much tension in your back your posture is incorrect!!

Pivot downward at the waist, while keeping your back straight, leaning forward reaching down until you have a stretch in the hamstrings. I like to grab the back of my legs or touch my palms to the ground depending on your level of difficulty.

First things first, KEEP THAT GAURD UP! we learn the importance of keeping your guard up and when it comes to boxing you want to ensure you can see your opponent at all times. Maintaining a line of sight through the glove guard is very important. Oftentimes, beginners make the mistake of keeping the glove guard too high, or impairing their vision. Second is striking, starting with the jab. An effective jab snaps rather than pushes. You can do two things by turning your fist. The first benefit is that it helps you punch with more snap. Second, it guarantees that your fist is in the proper position to strike the target with your two strongest knuckles at the impact of the punch. You'll notice that your shoulder raises a little when your fist spins which is a good thing. This, and the power from your rotating hip, along with the kinetic energy, will give you the power that you need to knock your opponent down.
2022-07-07 23:53:44 +0000 UTC View PostA Roundhouse Kick, also called a Round Kick, or turning Kick, is performed by first raising the knee of the kicking leg so that the knee is aimed toward the target. You then pivot on the balls of the non-kicking foot and turn the hip over slightly so that your body is turned sideways toward the target. The leg is then straightened to kick, so that the shin of the leg is moving in an arc that's parallel to the ground as you are kicking. The rotation of the hip, combined with the snapping of the leg forward, gives the kick its power. The striking surface is the instep or the ball of the foot. This is also called an off the line or rear leg roundhouse kick.
